Still not caught up from the semester's end, but here's a video we shot two weekends ago. Also, since last we posted, there was a nice little article in the Birmingham News about the project. You can read it here.
UPDATE: Click on the picture above or click here to watch the video. Having the videos directly on the site was a drag for those without fast connections. The video is rather large and might take a moment to load.

Hey guys! My grandmother sent me the article from the Bham News; I'm originally from Alabama but am now in Virginia. My partner and I are also eating locally, for just about 6 weeks now, and we are really enjoying it, although I am seriously jonesing for chocolate.
My family operated a dairy farm in Vincent for many years (my dad actually interned at Wright Dairy when he was in college) and three years ago had to stop milking because it just wasn't financially feasible anymore. So I just wanted to say thanks for what you are doing--raising awareness about the importance of supporting local agriculture means a lot to people like my dad.
Good luck-- I will keep checking back to see how it's going!
These are the musings of four friends who have set out for a season six months of local eating. Follow us from April through July September as we find all our food grown or raised here in the great state of Alabama. Our goal is to focus on sustainable agriculture and to make a case for a revitalization of our state's rural economy. In the process we're making a documentary about our journey and writing about our findings - from farm trips to gardening to recipes. Join us as we Eat Alabama...
If this is your first time here, you can start at the beginning.
Find a local Alabama Farm by visiting our Farm Locator.
